Site Maintenance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Maintenance Manager to join our team at Tapnell Farm. The chosen candidate will have a strong proven track record in positively managing a team, meeting, and organising deadlines, prioritising all maintenance related jobs and projects. You will be quick to find solutions, have a good knowledge of different building materials, fittings, and be able to turn your hand to most maintenance tasks on site. Qualified skills and certification within the maintenance/building sector preferred. You will be able to work seamlessly with our team, have a keen eye for detail along with a friendly outgoing personality and approach.


Competitive salary

40hrs per week, to include weekends

Main Purposes of Role

  • To take overall responsibility and management of your team, delivering all day-to-day maintenance, safety checks and ground keeping across the site, leading by example to ensure the visitor experience is of the highest standard at all times
  • To work closely with the Managers and team to address any regular maintenance requirements, safety checks, and where required to assist in any project work.
  • Working to an agreed budget and timescale, prioritising where necessary to deliver requirements
  • To champion the company’s ethos and culture throughout the business to create a vibrant, positive working environment alongside other employees.

Detailed Responsibilities

  • To ensure that the site is safe and ready to open daily, working with your team to delegate out daily jobs and responsibilities through morning briefings
  • Working with the core management team to deliver each of their maintenance requirements and scheduled works, prioritising labour, resources, and timescales
  • To identify areas where additional maintenance may be required across the site and to resolve within a timely manner, where necessary to agreed budget and timescale.
  • Ensure all maintenance checks on equipment, playgrounds, attractions, and accommodation are maintained and digitally recorded regularly to meet all the required standards and safety measures.
  • To ensure that all site maintenance is carried out and completed to the highest standard possible and meet the quality expected
  • Working with the managers and being the responsible person who co-ordinates and oversees 3rd party contractors, trades, and services. To ensure they are working safely and to our desired standards.
  • To ensure all site maintenance/project work is carried out at the best possible time causing the least amount of disruption to the site operations and its visitors. When work is carried out it is completed with staff and customer safety as a top priority
  • To obtain the best trade deals for materials, suppliers, hire equipment through negotiating and quotes
  • To manage monthly budgets set by the management team and provide financial information where required
  • To produce and agree a list of ongoing maintenance works and jobs over both the busy and quiet periods in conjunction with the core Management team
  • To identify areas of maintenance which may require a specialist skill on contractor and organise the appropriate cover or tradesmen.
  • To problem solve and find solutions to any unforeseen issues such as blocked drains, pits, services, plumbing, or general H&S problems.
  • To ensure that all tools, equipment, and workplaces are kept clean, tidy, and secure.
  • To keep up to date on any Health and Safety legislation which may affect how you go about working, such as working at height, using power tools, safety in the workplace, storing of all materials, chemicals etc
  • To rota the team and provide cover across the business 7 days a week

General Specifications

  • Ability to use initiative and work as part of a team.
  • Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to undertake training to required standard.
  • Positive “Can Do” attitude
  • People Focussed.
  • Hold a clean valid driving license
