Animal Keeper

As an Animal Keeper, you’ll play a key role in helping our experienced Keepers in caring for an array of animals including farm animals, invertebrates, reptiles, amphibians, wallabies, meerkats and smaller mammals, ensuring that the high standards of animal husbandry are carried out on a daily basis on the Farm.

The Cow Restaurant & Bar

FRONT OF HOUSE/BAR STAFF REQUIRED

Situated at the heart of Tapnell Farm in a converted Swiss barn, The Cow champions the finest home-grown and locally sourced produce and is renowned for its delicious award-winning burgers - including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan choices.

We are now recruiting for the following roles

- Chef

- Bar Supervisor

- Front of house staff

- Bar staff

We’re simply looking for people with a bit of flair and motivation to be a part of something fantastic, those who aren't afraid to get hands on and stuck in.

We offer great rates of pay and an equal share of tips with the ability to increase your pay rate through internal and external training, after an initial 3 month probation period.

Experience within a busy restaurant, café or bar is essential.

We are looking to recruit an Entertainment Host to work with our Events Team to create and build large scale events.

Tapnell Farm Activities Team

Our Activities Team are recruiting for positive, passionate, and hard-working people to join us for a busy season.

There are various positions available across the different activities we have to offer: Aqua Park, Football Golf, Archery and Axe Throwing. We are looking for enthusiastic people, who have a positive attitude and great work ethic, to deliver a fantastic customer experience.

Roles include:

  • Aqua Guides/lifeguards (Age 18+ only)
  • Front of House/ Reception
  • Activity Attendants 16+
  • Activity Instructors (Target Sports)

Varied contract lengths available with good rates of pay: March – October, end of May – September, and mid July – September.

Hours of work will vary throughout the season, but all of our seasonal roles guarantee a minimum contract of 20 hours.

Office Receptionist - Part Time

Our friendly welcoming team at Tapnell Farm are looking for a dedicated part-time Receptionist to handle customer-facing duties as well as general office management tasks.

When our customers and guests contact us, we want them to find a friendly, smiling face and a helping hand. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities include:
* Answering the phone in a timely manner, answering questions with knowledgeable answers and directing calls to the correct people where required.

* Maintaining the main email account, dealing with a wide range of queries across the Tapnell Farm site

* Using the ticketing system to book tickets, submitting refunds, taking payment over the phone for extra events or extras added to a booking.

* General administrative duties across the site

* Office maintenance tidying -ordering stationery, ink for photocopier/printer

* Accepting deliveries and notifying the correct department of their arrival

* Booking ferry crossings for colleagues and Partners when requested

* Taking meeting minutes when requested (shorthand not required)

* Placing orders online when requested for departments across the site, logging all orders

* Liaising with the accounts department re invoices, opening post

* Dealing with Raffle prizes

* During the weekend you may have to deal with queries from Accommodation guests, so you will liaise with relevant team members to help sort out any issues


Skills
* Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner

* Over-achieving attitude and enhanced work ethic
* Ability to use initiative and work as part of a team.

* Excellent communicator to all ages
* Good computer skills including a good working knowledge of Word and Excel
* Previous experience in a customer facing hospitality role

Hours of work:
Part-time position working 2 days a week (to include a Saturday), 9am - 5pm. Must also be able to work up to 5 days a week for holiday cover.
