Full-time Experienced Chef

Located at the heart of Tapnell Farm, The Cow is family friendly, restaurant and bar that champions the finest home-grown and locally sourced produce and is renowned for its delicious award-winning burgers - including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan choices.

We have a full time, permanent position for an experienced chef to work in a busy, fast paced kitchen.

The ideal candidate will be hard working, a team player, reliable and have a passion for cooking steaks and burgers.

The job is available to start within 2-4 weeks.

Accommodation & Guest Services Administrator

Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5/6pm, some weekend cover
Job Start Date: 11th March 2024 (flexible around notice period)

Tapnell Farm is an award-winning, family friendly, holiday destination offering a quality range of accommodation options, from glamping (safari tents, log cabins, geo domes) to farm cottages and the manor.

Working alongside the Accommodation Manager, we are looking for a dedicated Accommodation & Guest Services Administrator to assist with the day to day running of the holiday and residential accommodation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Dealing with guest bookings and enquiries
  • Taking reservations via different third party channels including Booking.com, Airbnb, and inputting into our booking system
  • Taking calls and replying to guest enquiries via email
  • Assisting guests during their stay with any queries they may have, in person, over the phone, by email
  • Supporting the Accommodations Manager, dealing with general enquiries and completing administrative tasks
  • Holiday cover for members of the team
  • Supporting the Reception team as and when required
  • Booking ferries for guests using discounted rates
  • Liaising with the housekeeping team to ensure properties are ready ahead of guest arrival
  • Taking payments on card machine
  • Annual residential checks of properties
  • Liasing with maintenance team to ensure repairs are carried out


The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethic and friendly manner. In addition to:

  • Excellent customer service skills and professional telephone manner
  • Previous bookings experience in an accommodation/hospitality environment would be ideal
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and a positive ‘can do’ attitude in a fast-paced work environment
  • Good computer skills including a good working knowledge of Word and Excel

Part Time Office Receptionist & Guest Services

Part-time: 3/4 days a week, including weekends.

Our friendly welcoming team at Tapnell Farm are looking for a dedicated part-time Receptionist and Guest Services team member, to handle customer-facing queries across the Tapnell Farm site and to work alongside the accommodation team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and multitasking skills, a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a friendly manner.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Dealing with incoming calls, and emails
  • Dealing with a wide range of queries across the Tapnell Farm site
  • Using the ticketing system to book tickets, submitting refunds, taking payment over the phone for extra events or extras added to a booking.
  • General administrative duties across the site.
  • Office maintenance and tidying -ordering stationery, ink for photocopier/printer.
  • Accepting deliveries and notifying the correct department of their arrival.
  • Booking ferry crossings for colleagues and Partners when requested.
  • Liaising with holiday guests, booking ferry crossings and holidays and liaising with the housekeeping team.
  • Taking meeting minutes when requested (shorthand not required)
  • Placing orders online when requested for departments across the site, logging all orders
  • Liaising with the accounts department regarding invoices.
  • Booking Birthday Parties.
  • Taking bookings for visiting schools.
  • During the weekend you will be dealing with both accommodation and reception emails and calls as well as helping on-site guests with any queries. You will also be liaising with relevant team members to help sort out any issues


  • Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner
  • Ability to use initiative and work as part of a team, and on your own at the weekends.

  • Good computer skills including a good working knowledge of Word and Excel.
  • Previous experience in a customer facing hospitality role is an advantage.

Hours of work:
Part-time position working 3/4 days a week to include weekends. Regular days of work will be Saturday and Sunday (10am - 4pm) Monday (9am-5pm) with Fridays in high season. You must also be able to work up to 5 days a week for holiday cover.

Coffee House Assistants

This season we’re looking for an enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Coffee House assistant. Ensuring our customers have the best experience during their day out at Tapnell Farm Park. From making top quality coffee, to assisting in the kitchen, this job will keep you on your toes.

Customer Service / Barista experience is desirable but not essential as all training will be provided upon hiring.

If you work well in, at times, a high pressure environment and have a warm and welcoming approach to customers of all ages, then this job is for you.

Full Time & Part Time roles available, both including weekend and holiday days. Hours of work will vary throughout the season. With good rates of pay.

  • Change bed linens and towels

  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor

  • Experience:
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field is preferred but not essential
