Tapnell Farm used to be one of the biggest Dairy Farms on the Isle of Wight, with over 800 cows producing an amazing 24,000 litres of milk every day! We no longer milk cows at Tapnell Farm, instead focusing our efforts on rearing youngstock (calves) for our dairy farm in Dorset. With all the free space we now have at Tapnell we’ve been busy building some exciting new things for visitors to come and enjoy – including Tapnell Farm Park!
Our Farm Park occupies the old dairy building at Tapnell Farm. Where once 800 cows patiently queued up to be milked you can now explore our well-stocked Toy and Gift Shop, whilst the milking parlour will soon become a museum of dairy farming and everything about the cow! Our Play Barn was once the youngstock barn for rearing baby calves – it now provides activities to keep little people entertained all day.
