What is padel?

Padel is a fun and fast-paced racket sport that blends tennis and squash. It’s played in doubles on an enclosed court that’s about a third the size of a tennis court.

Where is the padel court located?

The court is set inside a converted barn at Tapnell Farm, offering a unique indoor setting that’s protected from the weather.

Is the court floodlit?

Yes – the court has full floodlighting, making it ideal for evening or low-light sessions.

How many people can play?

The court is designed for four players – padel is typically played in doubles (2 vs 2).

What booking durations are available?

You can book the court for:

  • 1 hour
  • 90 minutes
  • 2 hours

How do I book the court?

Bookings can be made online via the Tapnell Farm website or by contacting our reception team.

Can I hire rackets and balls?

Yes, equipment hire is available on-site. Feel free to bring your own if preferred.

What should I wear?

We recommend comfortable sportswear and non-marking trainers. The barn is sheltered but may vary in temperature, so dress in layers.

Is the court suitable for beginners?

Yes! The court is open to all skill levels – from complete beginners to experienced players.

Are there toilets or changing facilities?

There are no dedicated facilities at the padel court itself. However, toilets can be found at:

  • The Aqua Park (when open)
  • The Cow Restaurant (when open)
  • Cow Lawn toilets (when the restaurant & Aqua Park is closed)

Is there parking?

Yes, there is free on-site parking for all visitors using the padel court.

Can children play?

Children are welcome as long as they’re supervised and able to safely participate.

Are coaching sessions or lessons available?

Check our website or contact us for updates on coaching, beginner sessions, or group lessons.

Can I book the court for a private group or event?
