Tapnell Farm Park
Students get access to all areas within the Farm Park – our Animal Barn, Outdoor animal enclosures and play areas. Soft play is available for the appropriate age groups. There is a daily schedule of animal talks your group is able to attend – for bigger groups we may schedule a private talk for your visit.
Don’t forget pocket money – we have a very well stocked gift shop with a range of products on offer.
Duration: 3.5 hour sessions. Morning 10:00am-1:30pm or afternoon 1:30pm-5:00pm.
Target Year Groups: Nursery – Year 6. Any year group is welcome!
Teacher Supervision: 1 teacher per 10 students as a minimum. Younger year groups will require 1 teacher per 5 students.
Aqua Park
Make your Isle of Wight school trip all the more engaging with a visit to the only outdoor Aqua Park on the Island. For your students, it's a fantastic opportunity to spend time outdoors and make lots of lasting memories.
The park is suitable for secondary or primary school trips (years 5 and up). Participants must be able to swim and would ideally be water confident. However, our staff are very happy to provide support and encouragement to less confident swimmers. Wetsuits and buoyancy aids are provided.
Duration: 2 hours (50 minutes on the inflatables after a safety briefing, with 30 minutes either side for changing)
Target year groups: year 5 to year 11 (minimum age 7)
Maximum group size: 80 (7 teachers and 73 students)
Minimum group size: 40 paying participants required
Teacher supervision: 1 teacher on the Aqua Park per 10 students
Football and Frisbee golf
Our 18-hole Football Golf course is a shoo-in for a one-day visit or residential school trip. It's an engaging, easy-to-learn activity that caters to a wide range of skills and abilities.
For some students, it will be a serious competition. For others, it's simply a chance to share some fun and laughter with their peers.
Duration: varies depending on group size and skill (allow 1.5 hours)
Target year groups: year 3 to year 11
Maximum group size: we recommend no more than 60 on the course
