Tucked away at the edge of Tapnell Farm is an established shooting ground operated by Top Targets.

This facility provides a fun, exciting, 'have a go' experience for families, private and corporate groups, stag and hen parties, and individuals.

With over 70 years of combined experience in shooting sports, and a passion for sharing the excitement and thrill of hitting the targets, Top Targets have a great understanding of introducing beginners to the sport. All equipment is provided.

Our team will ensure your introduction to clay pigeon and target shooting is safe and that you feel comfortable. An experienced instructor will be by your side throughout the activity

We have different sizes and gauges of shotguns rifles and pistols to suit each individual and we are happy to include children 10 years of age and up.

CLAY SHOOTING

Your session will begin with your instructor giving you a safety briefing and making sure you have your eye and ear protection on

Your instructor will then take you to your first stand, where he will show you the target and explain the best method of tackling it.

Then with your instructor by your side, he will show you how to load the gun, operate the safety catch and help you place the gun in the optimum position to shoot the target.

Once you have knocked a few out of the sky, you will be keen to move on to the next stand, where an entirely different target awaits.

• There are a variety of Clay Pigeon (Shotgun) and Rifle Range (Rifle) packages available, depending on how long you want to shoot, which can be mixed and matched to suit requirements. No minimum number required. Discounts available for large groups - and Tapnell Farm accommodation guests.
