The Piglets (East Afton Farm)
Cute, cosy glamping
Sleeps 2 • Heated all year round • Small dogs allowed
Welcome to The Piglets at East Afton Farm - your own cosy corner of the countryside. These former pig arcs have been thoughtfully transformed into charming glamping retreats for two. Heated all year round, they're cosy, welcoming and full of character. Perfect for spontaneous breaks where all you need is fresh air, open countryside and the chance to slow down.
Everything you need, nothing you don't
There's something special about living small. Having everything you need and nothing you don't - it feels simple, relaxing and wonderfully freeing. If that sounds like your kind of escape, you'll no doubt love The Piglets. Each is a cosy one-room retreat equipped with heating and a few carefully chosen comforts, including a comfortable double bed, fridge and WiFi. Just a few steps away, you'll find four spacious shower rooms within a beautifully converted stable block.
You'll find The Piglets on our neighbouring East Afton Farm, making them an ideal place to stay for guests attending weddings at East Afton Farmhouse. Those looking for a peaceful countryside escape will find plenty to love too. With your own outdoor seating area, you'll have the perfect spot to enjoy the surrounding countryside and spectacular sunsets.
Food, fun and something new every day
Staying at The Piglets puts you within a leisurely 30-minute walk (or two-minute drive) of our activities and restaurant at Tapnell Farm. That means you never have to go far to refuel or have fun. Why not meet the animals at Tapnell Farm Park, splash and play in our Aqua Park, or try something new like padel tennis, pickleball or clay pigeon shooting?
As for the restaurant, it's one of the Island's favourites. At The Cow, you can sample mouth watering locally sourced burgers, giant sharing steaks and delicious vegetarian and vegan options. Or, for a real al-fresco flavour, pick up one of our BBQ hampers and grill up a feast back at base.
Scenery worth exploring
For those keen to roam, the Isle of Wight has plenty to discover. Climb to the Tennyson Monument or take the chairlift down to The Needles. Spend afternoons paddleboarding, fossil hunting or simply strolling along one of the Island's many countryside trails, including the Tapnell Trail, which passes right by your accommodation.
