Predominantly hosting weddings, we also welcome birthdays, corporate, holidays and all other types of events. The team at East Afton are a big part of what makes our venue so special, and so we would like to introduce them to you below. As well as our core team, we also work with so many amazing external suppliers.

Melanie McCloy

Venue Supervisor

Mel fell in love with the venue when she visited in 2021 to book her wedding at East Afton.

After booking her wedding with us, a change in circumstances meant she was able to apply for the wedding coordinator role early 2022 and come Spring she was learning the ropes to become one of the team! With Mel on board, we are able to offer our couples complimentary wedding coordination included in every package, so that we can ensure every event runs smoothly and is stress free.

All of our couples can be rest assured knowing that we handle all logistics, create your schedule and liaise with all third parties. Mel’s enthusiasm and passion for life is infectious and we have no doubt all of our guests will find a warm and a friendly welcome, and the best party planner!

Chloe Baker-Staff

Venue Manager

Chloe, the Venue Manager joined the Tapnell Team in 2015, ahead of the Turney family purchasing East Afton in 2017. She has been part of the growth of the venue every step of the way, from hosting our first wedding in 2018 to designing and project managing the build of our biggest purpose-built wedding barn in 2021. Dedicated to ensuring every customer and guest have the best experience, Chloe strives to surpass expectations with meticulous attention to detail. She’ll go above and beyond, with no question too big or small- always happy to help with any element of your day, whilst continually looking at ways to improve our offering.

Favourite parts of the venue: The warm and cosy characterful farmhouse including cinema room, the sun cascading through the large windows in the main barn, the twinkly fairy lights, the views from every window.

Chloe Reynolds

Accommodation Supervisor

Chloe joined the main accommodation team at our sister farm Tapnell in Spring 2024. You’ll now find two Chloe’s as part of our core team! Although most of her role is focused on Tapnell, she plays a key part in organising accommodation and travel for your guests staying overnight. Full of local knowledge and recommendations, Chloe is your go to for top tips when staying nearby at Tapnell Farm.

Seasoned Kitchen

Kev, Chloe & The Team

We work closely with Kevin & Chloe, and The Team at Seasoned Kitchen as part of our inclusive packages. Since creating a combined offering in 2021, we have invested our efforts in building bespoke packages for all of our couples and their guests. Using the finest local produce, Kevin & his team whisk up the most delicious home made dishes from scratch with the option to select from a menu template or build something unique. We have no doubts in continuing to work with Seasoned Kitchen to provide some of the best food we’ll ever taste!

As caterers, we can't help but rave about the exceptional on site kitchen, a dream come true for us!

One of the features we truly appreciate is its versatility, It's the perfect venue in any weather, allowing us to cater stunning weddings all year round.

Meet Lisa

Lisa is the newest member of our team and already making a big impact! Often referred to as a “pocket rocket” for her boundless energy and can-do attitude, Lisa brings an incredible mix of passion, precision, and positivity to every event she coordinates. Loved by couples, their friends, and families alike, she goes above and beyond to ensure your day runs seamlessly. With her warm approach and professionalism, Lisa is dedicated to making sure everything is perfect — so you can relax and truly enjoy the best day of your life.

In-House Florist - Afton Blooms

Meet Joanna — our talented in-house florist and a true part of the East Afton Farmhouse family.

With a passion for all things floristry, Joanna trained at The Phillipa Craddock School of Floristry in London. Having worked closely with us for many years, Joanna knows the venue inside and out, using her expertise to create stunning floral designs that perfectly complement every space. Her beautiful flower creations and installations are tailored to each couple, with bespoke options available to suit your unique style. Using the finest seasonal blooms, Joanna offers expert guidance and advice throughout the process and can seamlessly collaborate with our in-house styling team to bring your wedding vision to life in the most breath-taking way.

Honestly couldn’t recommend it enough, it’s worth every penny! The accommodation is beautiful and all the rooms are so well finished and comfortable. The house has everything in it you could need and the barns are just beautiful. It’s the perfect location for a wedding and all in one place. So many of our guests complimented it and everyone had an amazing time. The best part is the staff, Chloe and the team were so responsive and helpful from the start and we can’t thank them enough for helping to make our day perfect.

Couldn't wish for a better wedding venue

Everything at East Afton farmhouse was absolutely perfect - we really couldn't have wished for a better location for our wedding. Having use of the venue and all of the facilities in the days leading up to the wedding was so ideal and meant that we could enjoy time together before the big day and get everything ready ahead of time. The farmhouse and all of the facilities are fab - our wedding was the first in the brand new events barn and it is simply stunning! We couldn't recommend this venue more highly!

We can't thank Chloe and all the staff at East Afton enough for their support, hospitality & professionalism. The venue is spectacular, all the finer details were executed exactly as we had been planning with Chloe for 18 months, and we truly can't fault anything at all. Kev prepared a gorgeous meal & evening buffet, the staff were professional & friendly, the recommendations for band & DJ couldn't have been more right for us. We had the most amazing & perfect day, memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives. Thank you again & hope that we can come back for an anniversary or two!

We are so glad we decided to get married at East Afton. The organisation from Chloe and the team was perfect from start to finish. Most of our guests were able to stay with us at the venue over the wedding period which meant we got to spend lots of quality time with them, and we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful setting.
