One of the best things to do on the Isle of Wight with kids (those young in years and at heart!) is to go searching for dinosaurs. Dubbed the “Dinosaur Capital of Britain”, this historic isle once provided the perfect home for dinosaurs. Today, 125-million-year-old fossils provide evidence of this, regularly unveiled along the coastline between Compton (just a few minutes from Tapnell Farm) and Sandown. In fact, just down the road from us, you can even see real-life footprints of giants preserved in sandstone at Hannover Point.
