Radio DJ and Bestival mastermind Rob Da Bank is set to headline Tapnell Farm’s very first “Christmas Tap N’ Ale” on Saturday December 19th 2015, with support from one of the Island’s favourite Soul/Funk/Jazz collectives, The Soul Lounge.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to overwhelming interest this event has now SOLD OUT. No further tickets will be available, and there will be no paid entry on the door. Thanks to all for interest, and we will see all of you with tickets on December 19th!
Rob will be playing an exclusive DJ set as part of an evening of seasonal festivities at The Cow Co Restaurant, which is also hosting a Real Ale Festival in association with Goddard’s Brewery across the weekend, December 19th and 20th.
The “Tap N’ Ale” parties have been a Tapnell Farm tradition for a couple of years, originally conceived as an end of summer party for friends and accommodation guests. With the recently converted Cow Co Restaurant now providing a charming indoor venue for Tapnell events it makes sense to bring back the spirit of “Tap N’ Ale” for a giant Christmas knees up! In addition to a large selection of Goddard’s Ales, which will be available all weekend as part of the Real Ale Event, there will also be a special Cow Co Cocktails bar on the night.
Rob Da Bank is always up for a Christmas Party, having previously hosted some pretty impressive ones himself – including Maida Vale specials, broadcast on Radio 1 with some of the biggest acts in music. With his reputation for party rocking DJ sets of classics, old and new, he is sure to get The Cow Co jumping!
The Soul Lounge are one of the most respected and requested collectives of musicians on the Isle of Wight, featuring members of some of the Island’s biggest musical exports such as The Bees and The Chancers, and performing at some of the biggest festivals and outdoor events in the world. Their eclectic sets of soul/funk/jazz classics will make the perfect opening for the “Christmas Tap N’ Ale.”
Tapnell Farm is already offering a huge range of festive treats for visitors throughout December. The Cow Co Restaurant is offering a special menu for Christmas Party bookings and meals from late November, with some unique twists on traditional Christmas dinners!
The newly opened Gallery and Gift Shop will offer shoppers a wide scope of interesting and unusual gifts and potential presents, whilst Isle of Wight Art’s Christmas Open Studios on December 5th and 6th will showcase artists and craft makers from across the Island, with unusual stocking fillers and special statement pieces available to buy.
Tickets for The Christmas Tap N’ Ale are on-sale now, with all profits from ticket sales being donated to The Isle of Wight Youth Trust. Entry costs are £10 with a free festive drink, or £15 with a festive drink and Cow Co Christmas Burger. Call The Restaurant on 01983 758725 to book tickets, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
