The Cow Restaurant & Bar is our relaxed, family friendly eatery serving delicious home-cooked, award-winning burgers and perfectly cooked steaks. All prepared fresh in our restaurant here on the Isle of Wight.

Family & Dog Friendly Bar and Restaurant

Situated at the heart of Tapnell Farm in a converted Swiss barn, The Cow champions the finest home-grown and locally sourced produce and is renowned for its delicious award-winning burgers - including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan choices.

You can choose whether to eat in (booking essential) or eat outside on the terrace.

The views across the Isle of Wight from the mezzanine level and terrace are hard to beat (especially the sunsets!), so why not join us for a warm welcome, great service and find out why we’re known as one of the most unique places to dine on the island!

Lunch with a view

Lovely place to eat. Great atmosphere and plenty to see outside.

The food was honestly amazing. So fresh and so yummy. The dirty fries were so nice we had to order more !!! Family of 5 which included one child's meal and 2 rounds of drinks was £90. We thought this was very reasonable and happy to pay more as food was so lovely.

Best burger ever

We had dinner at The Cow as we were staying at Tom's eco lodge at Tapnell farm. We were not disappointed! Great food and service. I had one of the best burgers I've ever had!!

Great for kids too with small portions and a menu they can colour in with the pens provided.

Amazing food

We found this by accident on our last visit and just had to come back! The burgers are amazing and the service is great!

What Our Guests Think

Great dog friendly place to eat

Had an amazing dinner tonight. Our steaks were perfect, so were the starters. Service was relaxed and friendly and our dog Marley was looked after too which is a huge plus for us. Themed restaurant is done really well, light and open we would recommend it to anyone.

Great menu

We managed to get our children to sit still for an hour 😂 whilst we enjoyed a burger each- the food is AMAZING and service was fantastic

Yum yum

Second visit and delicious both times, first time I had T Bone steak which was a real treat it’s really hard to find that cut nowadays, the onion purée that comes with the steaks are delicious, My partner loves The Matador burger! Look forward to our next visit.
